My Big Red was served at the YWCA Harrisburg Fall Festival on October 5th, 2013. I wasn't there to pour, as I had a wedding, but my sister-in-law tells me it was a big hit. In addition, I'm serving 22 gallons at friend's upcoming wedding, a sessionable Pumpkin Ale for my brother-in-law, my Hop Farm for the Philly HBC SSS and serving some beer (English Mild) at a local restaurant (for free of course). The timing of this has resulted in some seriously late brew nights and very tiresome days at work.
Some of those nights, at around 1 or 2 am, I start to question what the hell I'm doing. I could simply brew for me, once or twice a month, and have more than enough beer to satisfy my thirst. It takes me about 2 seconds to snap out of it and remember how much joy it brings me to see others enjoying the beer I worked so hard to make. That, in the end, makes it all worth it. I'll continue grinding.
