Victory Brewing just released their Swing Saison, a low alcohol but still very flavorful Farmhouse Ale. I wanted to go for a similar style but bring even more spiciness and flavor to the beer. I decided on a very pale malt bill using just Pilsner, Wheat and a touch of Honey Malt. It's bittered with Centennial and then (2) Strisslespalt additions are added for flavor/aroma. In addition, ginger root and coriander are added to really spice things up and play off the already spicy Belgian Saison yeast.
Despite the red looking color in the photo, it will be a very pale burnt-orange in the glass. The ABV will sit right about 4.2% and the beer will be as refreshing as it is drinkable. Unfortunately, I won't be able to attend the party as the Chester County Homebrewfest is the same day, but there's a very good chance I brew this up again for Five Mile consumption.
